Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digdir) is the controller for the personal data processed in the common log in to public services. Digdir is also the controller for the data used to administer MinID.
The providers of electronic ID with the highest level of security (Buypass and Commfides) are the controllers for the personal data required to administer their log in solutions.
If you have any questions concerning privacy in relation to a specific service you can access through a common log in to public services, enquiries can be directed to the responsible agency. If you have any general questions concerning privacy and security in relation to log in, you can contact user support.
What personal data is processed?
When you log in to electronic services using a common public log in, your national identity number and the time you logged in are recorded. Your log in history will be stored for a limited period.
Right of access, correcting and deleting
Pursuant to the Personal Data Act you have a right of access with respect to the processing of your personal data.
You are also entitled to information about how these are processed and stored, as well as how you can correct or delete incorrect data.
Only your national identity number and an overview of your log in history is stored. Your national identity number is retrieved from the National Population Register and your log in history lists your actual history of logging in to public services. The opportunity to correct the data stored is therefore limited.
Release to others
When you log in to a service your national identity number and log in data are forwarded to the organisation or agency responsible for the service you are logging in to.
