ID-porten is a common login solution to public services online. You can use electronic ID from MinID, BankID, BankID app, BankID on mobile, Buypass or Commfides to log on. Electronic ID is important to confirm that you are the person you claim to be when using online public services.
To prevent identity theft it is important to be aware of to whom you are giving your personal information, and the context in which the information is being provided.
If you suspect that you have become the victim of identity theft it is important to act quickly to limit the extent of the problem. Start by notifying the Police about your situation. Telephone (+47) 02800

If you get information about someone other than yourself after logging on to a public service with ID-porten, please send an email to brukerstotte@digdir.no
If you have access to personal data about anyone other than yourself, it is important that you do not pass on this information to anyone else. You also have a duty of confidentiality about who you were logged in as. Even if you have inadvertently access to the information and cannot be blamed for it, it might be a criminal offence to share all or part of this information with anyone else. If you have downloaded such information, you must delete it immediately. Any printouts must be shredded.
MinID: Contact ID-porten help desk on number (+47) 800 30 300 to block the user profile. We will then close your user profile and extract activity logs in ID-porten.
BankID: You can block your BankID by contacting your bak or your bank's website.
Buypass: You can block your Buypass ID at buypass.no.
Commfides: You can block your Commfides e-ID by contacting Commfides.
For your own safety when using ID-porten:
- Make sure that the electronic device you are using is updated
- Secure your electronic device with a password or PIN
- Keep your antivirus software updated on your computer
- Log out when you are finished
